We are so pleased to share that Caley will be featured as a panelist at the upcoming Energy Summit (August 26 - 28) presented by the Colorado Oil and Gas Association. The panel, called Workforce Transitions: Shifting Realities and Expectations, will address the hard and soft labor expectations that are driving the transitioning workforce in the state. This will include tackling the topic of how incoming and existing talent views the role of oil and gas in society with concern and the effects that is having on companies in the space. Chiefly, the panel seeks to answer the question "how will oil and gas companies need to re-shape the work environment to meet demands for meaningful work and social responsibility to attract the next generation of leaders and retain talent"?
Caley will be joined on the panel by Elizabeth Garner, State Demographer with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. Her agency focuses on strengthening the capacities of Colorado's communities and local governments and produces population and economic forecasts used by state agencies. The panel will be led by Sarah Derdowski, Director of Strategic Development & Operations at the CU Denver Global Energy Management Program. Through her work with the GEM program, Sarah is committed to engaging energy professionals from across the full spectrum of the energy sector in meaningful conversations geared toward driving energy discussions forward through education. Additional panelists will be announced as the date approaches.
